The Gelbvieh and Balancers bulls at Bar Arrow Cattle Company are bred with the commercial breeder in mind

More than 50% of our yearling bulls go to customers that retain ownership of their calves in the feedlot or have access to that performance data. Our sires have proven performance in the pasture, feed lot, and all the way to the packing plant, not just estimates.

We are proud to say that our pen bulls that we’ve taken out to Denver and now Oklahoma City have had the highest weight per day of age compared to any other pen. This is a trait we believe is relevant to our customers.

All Gelbvieh and Balancers bulls for sale on the ranch are polled, red or black. Bulls with bad temperaments do not make the cut to the elite sale pen. As Stuart would say “I hate rude behavior in a bull, won’t tolerate it.”

Bar Arrow Cattle Company customers can be confident that all bulls have sound feet and have been developed on a high roughage diet to promote longevity. All bulls for sale have a first breeding season guarantee. If something goes wrong, Bar Arrow Cattle Company will make it right.

Buyers can also be assured the bulls have been ultra-sounded. No bull gets in the sale that we wouldn’t use on our own cows at home. We’ve used the ultrasound data since 1995 to look at ribeye per 100 weight ratios to reduce cow size and increase choice carcasses and feed efficiency in the lot.
